Ubuntu’s desktop manager Will Cooke mentioned that they were more confident in their ability to add support for Snaps to GNOME Software Centre than they were to Ubuntu Software Centre. So, They will be planning to replace Ubuntu Software Centre with GNOME Software Centre. He had mentioned that in recent desktop Sprint held at Canonical HQ in London.



GNOME’s Software application will – according to current plans – take its place as the default and package management utility on the Unity 7-based desktop.
